You would think attending a massive world-wide event like the Olympics, in Vancouver B.C. would be—well—crowded. Thousands upon thousands of people attended the games on Whistler Mountain and Cypress Mountain. Lines of people streamed out of the sky train stations and SeaBus station, however the friendly folk of Canada have an incredible transit system.

Tom and I dashed out of the hotel today and made a beeline for Hudson Bay Company–the only store that carries Olympic paraphernalia. Everyone in town is wearing red knit mittens with a white mapleleaf on the palm and the Olympic rings on the top.

Yes, it’s rainy. Yes, the wind is howling and the 2010 Olympic flame is blowing sideways leaving my umbrella to resembles a closed tulip, but the enthusiasm for the Olympic games is infectious

Vero Beach, Florida. The outdoor antique fairs have got to be good here. Right? Little or no chance of rain, coatless weather, acres of antiques or junk as my husband refers to the varied treasures I pick up at such events. A person could stay out all day and acquire a healthy dose of Vitamin D to boot!
