“Mom, did you know you can’t turn right at this stop? There is no free right here mom! Mom, buckle up before you turn on the car.” Pipe down kid, I’ve been driving since the Model-T, I should know what I’m doing by now, and u-turns are allowed if no one is coming, and you are in a hurry and you are the mom.” I state in a steely calm voice.

“I’ll be right back, I’m going to pull up the crab pot with Karen.” I shouted to my daughter, Lexi. “Yeah sure mom, I know what you’re up to.” She says with a sarcastic tone.

The parents from Gregory Seahurst pool and the parents from the Normandy Park pool actually want to have their own college-daze swim relay. Found correct car after searching for the attendant (sitting in air conditioned booth) who advised me of the OTHER red car (my car) in the lot.

I’ve never claimed to be a lover of speciality foods or a gourmet chef, I’m pretty much a meat and potatoes kind of gal. Boring but easy when one has other chores to attend to—like picking up the multitudes of crap left out everyday by certain family members! However, quite by accident I was directed to “Benson’s Best Bites” and have been raving about it ever since.

Last night we attended the Chelsea versus Sounders soccer (football in Brit-speak.) My friend, Jean and four of our offspring all piled into the Explorer and headed to SoDo for some afternoon fun in the sun, and we weren’t disappointed.

Ketchum, Idaho in the heart of the scenic Sawtooth Mountain Range is quickly becoming my second favorite town although its a close second to beer can (Burien.) Where else can you find an outdoor symphony or Huckabilly banjo concert every Monday, and kerchief-necked mongrels wandering the streets?
